Terms of Use

This page (together with the documents referred) provides you with the terms of use of uniapp.sabis.net (the “Website”), whether as a guest or a registered user. Please read and agree to the terms of use carefully before using the Website. By using the Website, you indicate that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please refrain from using the Website.

Purpose

The purpose of the Website is to allow eligible registered SABIS® students (the “Users”) to apply to a number of universities by submitting a unified application (the “Application”) that will be shared with the university selected by the User.

Website Access

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any service we provide on the Website without notice (see below). We will not be liable if, for any reason, the Website is unavailable at any time or for any period.
The access to the Website is restricted to eligible Users who have registered with us and selected individuals to whom we have granted the right to access the Website (the “Guests”). If you choose, or are provided with, a User identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any third party. We have the right to disable any User or Guest identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of this statement.
You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary to access the Website.


Intellectual Property Rights

We are the owners or the licensees of all intellectual property rights in the Website, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
You may print off or download extracts of any page(s) from the Website solely for the Purpose described above.
For any reason not related to the Purpose, you must not modify the paper or digital copies of any material you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences, or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.
Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of material on the Website must always be acknowledged.
You may not remove any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property notices from any material downloaded or copied from the Website.
You must not use any part of the material on the Website for commercial purposes or for any reason other than the Purpose described above without obtaining the required license.
If you print off, copy, or download any part of the Website in breach of these Terms of Use, your right to use the Website will cease immediately and you must, at our discretion, return or destroy all the copies.

If the need arises, we may suspend access to the Website, or close it indefinitely at our sole discretion and without any reason or liability.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws, we disclaim all representations and warranties relating to the Website and its contents. We also disclaim the content of the Website and the application form.
We do not warrant that the Website will always be accessible, uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free from computer virus or other defects.
We shall not be liable for any acts or omissions of any third parties, and for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages caused, resulting from or in connection with the Website, your access to, use of, or inability to use the Website, or any delays and inaccuracies in the information or in its transmission.
For avoidance of doubt, the User and the Guest understand that we do not provide any guarantees or warranties with respect to the Application acceptance by the selected university or the User’s admission to the selected university.
To the extent permitted by law, we, other members of the SABIS® group of companies, and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude:

  • All conditions, warranties, and other terms that might otherwise be implied by statute, common law, or the law of equity.
  • Any liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage incurred by any User or Guest in connection with the Website or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of the Website, any websites linked to it, and any material posted on it, including, without limitation, any liability for:
    • Loss of income or revenue;
    • Loss of business;
    • Loss of opportunities;
    • Rejection of any claim, demand, or application by any university;
    • Loss of application, registration, or any fees paid on or through the Website;
    • User’s choice of university and type of application;
    • Loss of profits or contracts;
    • Loss of data;
    • Loss of goodwill; and
    • Any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), or otherwise.

Information About You and Your Visits to The Website

We process information about you in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Website, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data you provide is accurate.

Uploading Material to The Website

Any material you upload to the Website will be considered non-proprietary, and we have the right to use, copy, distribute, and disclose to third parties, including the universities, any such material for the Purpose. We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any material you posted or uploaded to the Website constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.
We will not be responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of any material you upload or post to the Website.

Viruses, Hacking, and Other Offences

You must not misuse the Website by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs, or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, the server on which the Website is stored, or any server, computer, or database connected to the Website. You must not attack the Website via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack.
We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will cooperate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such breach, your right to use the Website will cease immediately.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data, or other proprietary material due to your use of the Website or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or on any website linked to it.

Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

We retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these terms of use in your country of residence or any other relevant country.

Variations

We may revise these terms of use at any time by amending this page. You are required to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we made, as they are binding on you. If you disagree with any part of these terms of use, you must immediately discontinue your access to the Website.
Some of the provisions contained in these terms of use may also be superseded by provisions or notices published elsewhere on the Website.

E-Commerce Activities

Cancellation Policy While you are filling in your Application, you can cancel it at any time; however, cancellation will not be possible after payment is conducted and application is submitted.
Refund Policy Refunds will be strictly considered in the case of (i) Force Majeure, (ii) Server Error, or (iii) in accordance with the university’s refund policy. In such limited events, the reimbursement will be issued according to the original method of payment.
